At McKenzie & Willis we love to support our local communities and charities so needless to say we jumped at the opportunity to be one of the hosts for the 2018 Christchurch Ronald McDonald House Supper Club!
The Christchurch Supper Club is a highlight on the fundraising calendar for Ronald McDonald House South Island, raising funds to provide free accommodation for families with children in hospital. This special event sees guests whisked away to mystery venues around the city and treated to unique dining experiences.
This year the event raised more than $130,000 – an amazing achievement that could not have happened without all the support of the numerous venues, chefs and wonderful guests.
Our Christchurch showroom was one of the many venues and partnered with The Sauce Kitchen caterers to put on a 5 course dining experience for our 8 guests from Smart Sparks. The menu included delicious canapes as well as winter favourites such as slow cooked lamb leg and the most heavenly poached pears with crème anglaise and orange tuile!
The space was decorated to reflect the changing seasons. Flowers from Mrs Bottomley’s flowers adorned the table and Alison from Bianca Lorenne kindly donated beautiful stationery from her range as gifts for our guests.
All of these details made for an unforgettable night out.
